Her career has taken her through household names such as Natal Wholesale Jewellers (NWJ), Smith & Nephew PTY Ltd, the Edcon Group (Edgars) and  Sumitomo Rubber South Africa (Dunlop Tyres.)

Her experience spans across the entire HR Generalist functions including remuneration, benefits, job structuring and grading, HR systems and processes, performance management, talent management, succession planning and employee relations. Add her certification as a DISC and Motivations Practitioner – she can offer it all. Finally, she has also managed large cross-functional projects with significant IT capex investment requirements – a unique value-add to any business.

Testimonials

I worked with Angelique Thompson at Sumitomo Rubber South Africa (SRSA) when she was employed as the Group HR Manager. This was a position she held for 10 years and I was fortunate to work with her in my role as Marketing and Business Development Director and later as Sales, Marketing and Business Development Director for two of those years. During the time I worked with Angelique, she continuously impressed me with her ability to bring a commercial view to what is traditionally seen as a “nice-to-have” by some organisations, the HR Function. Whilst she took this commercial view, she never lost touch with the core of HR and at all times she ensured the needs of the employees were the highest priority but balanced against the company’s strategy.  Her attention to detail was excellent and this was evident in the sales team incentive schemes that she redesigned for the company. She was professional and firm but fair at all her times and her ability to use humour ensured she was well liked throughout the company. Angelique is a very confident individual and communicates well at all levels of an organisation and her broad experience and knowledge allows her to speak with authority in her field of expertise.I would highly recommend Angelique for any HR or Project Management challenges you may have, from my experience she will find a solution that adds value across all functions of the business but with a focus on where it counts most, amongst your people and the bottom line

When theft happened at the Forest Hills Sports Club we were extraordinarily lucky to have the guidance of Angie Thompson and SuccessPoint Consulting to see us through the storm. She was a calm voice of reason and an advocate of fairness to the employees and the business.  Angie helped mediate a solution that made FHSC more profitable and has had a dramatically positive effect on employee morale at Forest.  Thanks so much to Angie for all your help
